Banh Mi Place | Prospect Heights | Brooklyn

824B Washington Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11238

It was a cold, cold day in January. It snowed and I decided I wanted to see the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It was a good thing Banh Mi Place was right around the corner to me to warm up with some pho. No, really, I couldn't feel my nose, fingers or toes.

I saw some locals walk in and they spoke highly of the place so I knew I found a good spot. I ordered the grilled chicken pho and took a look around while I was waiting for my order. It was a small quaint place that looks out into the street. I was taken back when I received the pho because they give you so much! The pho comes with bean sprouts, basil, onion, scallions and lemon. I will say the aroma that comes from dropping the basil into the pho is probably the best thing I've ever smelled. The pho liquid was clear so you know it was made nice and slow with lots of love. I quietly enjoyed by large bowl of pho.

Before I left, I ordered a coffee with bobba inside of it. If you've never tried it, just do it. It's a amazing how the consistency of the bobba changes from the hot coffee. With our hot bobba coffee in hand, I headed towards the subway and said good bye to the beautiful staff at Banh Mi Place.
