New Recipe at Bonchon?

SCHAUMBURG, IL

Click here to visit their website!

I've tried Bonchon at a North Jersey location before and claimed them the winner of my go-to fried chicken spot. I was happy to discover there was one right in Schaumburg and I tried my usual order of half-half of the soy garlic and spicy wings.

Crunch. There's no denying the crispy, layer of skin on the outside of the chicken, bone in or boneless, glazer in one of their two standard sauces. Recently, when I tried their spicy wings, it didn't taste the same from the ones I've tried prior. I've heard they're recently changed their recipe for both wings and there isn't as much sauce coating on the wings. I'm not a fan of the new version of the wings. I enjoyed the older version better. Your order of wings comes with a side of either pickled radishes or coleslaw.

Apart from the wings, they have quite a number of other items like the pork buns or as my husband calls then, beef pockets. Three came inside of one order and I would order them again.

PORK BUNS | Slice of savory pork belly dressed with Bonchon Soy Garlic Sauce, topped with cucumbers, coleslaw, spicy mayo, and katsu sauce.

They're fried chicken is made to order so I ordered take-out via Yelp. When we picked up the order, the chicken was nice and hot. Next time, I'm hoping to visit the restaurant and try the other items on their menu.
