If you have extra scallions or herbs from your recipe, cut them up and place them in the freezer!

While I'm trying to build our kitchen stock and be on a budget every week, I might not be able to use up all of my items. I try to stretch their use by cutting them into pieces and storing them in a freezer-safe bag. When you need to use them in the future, grab a handful and mix them into your soup or dish before turning the heat off.
