The donut pictures lured me in but I stayed for the lunch. It's a great place for a girls lunch trip!
With the great reviews I read about this place, its no wonder for a weekday lunch the place was busy! Luckily, I went through Yelp to reserve a table for the ladies. Through their Yelp page you can also, order delivery or takeout and book an event. It was a pub-style interior and the waiter takes you over to your table where you see a stack of paper you need to go through AKA your menu. They give you a menu specifically with their drinks and their daily specials. Their daily specials will have a spotlight on their local IPA and some dishes they're trying out.
There were so many things you could choose from and you keep changing your mind; the server came back a few times before we finalized our order. Off their specials menu, I got the Major Miso's Pork Belly and Fried Chicken Bowl ($16.99). The dish has crispy pork belly and hand-cut boneless chicken tossed in Korean BBQ sauce served over white rice and sautéed green beans, broccolini, sesame, green onions, spicy mayo and crispy wasabi rice noodles on top. This dish was so balanced from taste to texture. What amazed me was the rice noodles on top that was the perfect crunch when you're eating the dish. It wasn't too spicy but so flavorful and you had your fresh greens on the side.
I had inquired about the donut they showcase on their website and it's part of the lawless brunches they have. You don't have to ask me twice about coming back here. I'm coming back for you donuts!
“I'm coming back for you donuts!”
