I had discovered Kam Man when I was checking out a Korean restaurant and saw a huge supermarket with a lively audience entering and leaving the store. I thought I’d just stop by and see what items they had inside.
When you walk in, the first thing you smell is the hot food behind displays. They had sweet items from their bakery and savory as you walk in. It was hard to walk past them but I had a feeling I’d be back soon to check them out. On your left, you’ll see the cash register and on the right the aisles of Asian goodies from canned items, fresh garden vegetables to seafood. I weaved in and out of the aisles and stopped in my track when I reached the snack aisle. There wasn’t just one but two! Before I could even pick out anything I had to inspect both of the rows before I went back and started to pick up some items. One thing that stood out to me was the very colorful and creative packaging of their items. After choosing about six items, there was only one thing I could possible do: an Asian snack haul!
1. Lotte Koala’s March Artificially flavored chocolate creme filled cookies.
This item was pretty similar to cookies I’ve had in the US before. The outside bread portion was really thin that offered a nice crunch as you bite into it. There was plenty of chocolate inside the Koala-shaped cookie. It’s a great snack if you wanted something to satisfy that sweet tooth.

2. JoJo’s Read Bean Cake
The bright red packaging lead me to the next item with red beans scattered on the bottom of the bag. Inside the plastic tray, there were some finger sized mini cakes. The dough on the outside was dry and there was only way to find out what was on the inside…NOM. After taking your bite into the mini cake, you feel powder falling into your lap and thereafter breathing it in. The inside had finely milled red bean inside of the dough. Of all the items from Kam Man, this was my least favorite. There was a lack of flavor and it was very dry. It was hard to swallow because there was just tightly packed powder with a little bit of dough.

3. Pocky Cookies & Cream Cookies and cream covered biscuit sticks.
Pocky is a pretty popular biscuit stick that has different flavored coatings on the outside from chocolate, green tea to cookies and cream this time! I have always been a fan of cookies and cream so I was excited to try it out. The biscuit stick had its usual crunch as you bite into it but this time you had a cookies and cream coating. They didn’t skimp on the coating and you can taste the miniature pieces of chocolate cookies in the cream. Totally a fan! Great on-the-go snack!

4. Share Spicy/Sweet Peanut
Again, I was drawn to the bright packaging of this bag located in the savory snack aisle. Now, I’m not a fan of peanuts however I was surprisingly a fan of this snack. Inside they had peanut with a sugary brittle on the outside sprinkled with spices. The great sweet and spicy combo leaves you wanting more and more of the peanuts. My dad was a huge fan of this item too; it didn’t last he day!

5. Puchao Melon flavored juicy gummy.
Similar to HI-CHEW, I was excited to try this product out. Melon was the one flavor they had at the shop and inside there were about 6-7 individually wrapped squares you can pop into your mouth. Chewing it in the begging was a little difficult; you really had to work on it a little bit to get it soft however the melon flavor was fantastic. Afterwards, you notice it to be the consistency of a bubble gum. Normally when you have HI-CHEW, the more you chew, the candy starts to dissolve however with the Puchao, it didn’t feel like it was dissolving. In the very center of the candy, was this hard seed-like circle I ended up spitting out. It was very weird. I tried chewing the clear, circle-shaped bit inside but it wasn’t getting any softer. It was an interesting experience figuring out the Puchao.

6. Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ Tanoshii no bake donuts
I was excited for this item the most because it was no bake donuts! When you open up the package, you have a tray filled with individually packed powders with different flavors to make your donuts. The corner of the tray is a pocket you can break off to mix the vanilla flavored powder with water to make the body of the dough. You mix the liquid together to make body and you press it into a donut shaped impression or bundt cake on the tray. Afterwards you add water to your favorite icing flavor (chocolate, strawberry, etc.) and scoop it into a plastic bag where you squeeze it out on top of the donuts and add your sprinkles. Now, the donut was not what I thought it was..it wasn’t a bread-like body that you’re used to rather a gelatinous shaped candy. You icing flavors also tasted very artificial. I think it would be a great item for little kids because they’d enjoy the process of making their own donut. Creativity is 100% but the taste is rather MEH.

7. Cocon Yogice Flavored Ice
Who doesn’t like flavored ice during the summer months?! The bag came with individually wrapped icey flavors (grape, mango, etc.). The icey was inside an ice cream shaped plastic cover that you screw the top off. Afterwards you would squeeze out your favorite flavored icey. I would give it a few minutes outside before eating it because it was pretty frozen when we tried to eat it and it was hard for it to come out. The consistency was a cross between an ice cream and an icey- the flavor was creamy but had ice bits inside it. Overall, great item!
