Kuma's Corner Review

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

Let's try the Kuma's Corner found in Schaumburg, Illinois. Is it worth all the hype I've been hearing?

You can find the store inside of a shopping complex. Once you're inside the parking lot, follow the light!

My husband has told me great things about Kuma's Corner at another location and there happened to be one in Schaumberg (IL) so we decided to give this one a try on a Wednesday. It was busier than I thought with people there after work and random friend groups gazed up at a screen playing a movie from Netflix. If you couldn't tell by the decor, the music and the names of the items on the menu are very rock-inspired. They have a great drink selection (very creative); as a cranberry lover I got the "Spill the Blood" with cranberry + agave syrup, lime juice, El Jimado Silver Tequila garnished with cranberry jam and a lime wheel. My husband got a drink with the cutest, voodoo gingerbread cookie on top; it was a perfect drink to warm you up. Their burgers are huge. I couldn't help but get the Iron Maiden burger with cherry peppers, pepperjack cheese, avocado, chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and onion. I finished about half of it with the 10 oz. burger sitting inside of the pretzel bun. Be sure to ask about their gluten free bun (+$1).

I hope you've brought your appetite. Their burgers are 10 oz!

For your sides, your options are handcut French fries, house made potato chips, edamamae (+$2) or cesar salad (+$3). Let's talk about their fries. As a huge fry fan, I was disappointed with the cold fries that came out with the burger. They were cold, not greasy and tasted okay. Quite honestly, just concentrate on finishing the burger! Mac and cheese looks like another highlighted item on their menu so I'm hoping to try it next time I'm here!
