Blogging at Prodigy Coffee

A nice trip on the A-line down to Washington Square Station will lead you to a great coffee shop: Prodigy Coffee.

It's hard to find a nice, quiet coffee to get your creative juices flowing however this location will be on the top of my list in Greenwich Village. You'll find a lot of locals visiting the shop before their daily walk in Washington Square Park. You'll also find a few people quietly working away with their drink.

The smell of coffee drew me into the store but my eyes went straight to the little display they had of sweets from local bakeries. Knowing well I had dinner plans later, I restrained myself and glanced over their drink menu. It was a bit chilly out so I went with an Almond Chai. Their menu is very simple and wish they had a few more options. They have a revolving specials menu on the side to keep things interesting for your next visit.

My Indian roots couldn't help but get something that was chai with a small hint of almond. It was something hot with a nice fragrant, spicy hint in the milk tea.  If you're lucky, you might be able to get street parking however the subway might be the way to go. Confused about the Cafe Au Lait or the macchiato? Ask the employee behind the counter! They're a fellow coffee lover and super friendly. After a few hours of doing some work and sipping on hot chai, I made my way to a local bookstore they had around the corner. I can't wait to come back to try their baked goods next time...ideally they'll have donuts by then!
