I'm sure we've all seen Taco Bell's commercial introducing their newest item, the Naked Chicken "Chips." Is it a glorified chicken nugget? A chicken nugget someone took a hammer to? Well, you will soon find out.
Background
I read online about newest addition and I knew I had to try it out. Two things I thoroughly enjoyed growing up : chicken nuggets + Taco Bell. If they're getting married, I would like to be the first one to know about it. When you order it, you have an option of getting the 6 pack ($2.59)* or the 12 pack ($4.59)*. Along with your chicken pieces, you get a "warm" nacho sauce.
What's the deal?
The chicken chips is similar to a thinner version of a chicken nugget. You have equal proportions of chicken to breading. Since the breading is very thin, that's what makes it crunchier similar to a chip. When you're out the door and you don't have time for something fancy, this would be your go-to option. The nacho sauce comes inside a plastic container and isn't warm however I'm sure it varies on the location you go to. I'm sure its the same sauce they provide with their other dishes however I swirl in my favorite Fire Sauce and BAM takes it up a few notches.
Overall
If I'm craving something on-the-go, this would probably be a good option for that time. It's enough to take away the "hangry" version of yourself and function normally.
